These garlic knots deliver restaurant-style buttery garlic flavor and take under 20 minutes from start to finish.

What Makes These Garlic Knots So Easy?

The shortcut is refrigerated biscuit dough — a 16.3-ounce can of buttermilk biscuits makes the process fast and reliable. Pillsbury Homestyle biscuits are a good option, but any refrigerated biscuit dough works well.

How To Make

Cut each biscuit in half, roll each piece into a thin rope, and tie into a knot. Arrange the knots on a rimmed baking sheet, then brush them with a mixture of melted butter, garlic salt, dried oregano, dried parsley, and crushed red pepper flakes. Finish with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan — fresh or the shelf-stable type both taste great.

Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. When they come out of the oven, brush again with garlic butter for extra flavor. They’re delicious on their own, and even better with pizza sauce for dipping.

Easy Garlic Knots Recipe Tips

If you prefer fresh garlic, substitute 2–3 minced or crushed garlic cloves for the garlic salt. The fresh garlic will give a brighter, more intense flavor.

For best texture and flavor serve the knots right out of the oven. Store leftovers at room temperature in a zip-top bag. Reheat gently in a 300°F oven or briefly in the microwave until warmed through.
