Heading to Los Angeles for the Dole Cook-Off: What to Expect

img 5773 1I’m excited to share some fun news: I’ve been invited to take part in the Dole Cook-Off on June 26, 2010. Dole selected its top five recipe entries, and the finalists will be flown to Los Angeles. Each finalist will be paired with a food blogger—I’m honored to be one of them—to prepare a recipe for Celebrity Chef Ben Ford.

The winner will receive $1,000 and have their recipe printed on the back of a can of Dole fruit. Although the recipe submission period is now closed, I’ll be covering the event and sharing updates and live tweets as it happens. Stay tuned for photos, reactions, and behind-the-scenes details from the Cook-Off.

This is a great opportunity to see creative recipe development, discover new ways to use Dole fruit, and watch talented cooks and bloggers collaborate with a professional chef. If you enjoy food events, recipe inspiration, or live coverage from the kitchen, you’ll want to follow along.
