Spooky Halloween Party Punch Recipe

I am not going to lie — this spooky Halloween eyeball punch pushed me well outside my comfort zone. I nearly fainted photographing it, even with a pink backdrop to soften the creepiness. Building a creative brand often means stepping beyond what feels safe, and this was one of those moments. Charlie, who’s obsessed with Halloween and loves everything extra spooky, insisted I try something bold. So I did — and I’m glad I did.

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays — right up there with Valentine’s Day. I tend to go a little overboard with decorations because there are so many fun, creative possibilities. My everyday decor is usually sweet and pretty, but come Halloween I like to get a little wild. Who else loves switching styles for the holidays?

Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party or heading out trick-or-treating with kids, this punch recipe is a must-try. You can easily adjust how scary it looks — reduce the spiders and eyeballs for younger guests, or go all-in for a more dramatic display. It makes a fantastic centerpiece and instantly brings everyone into the spirit of the holiday. Charlie was beyond excited to see the bowl steaming with dry ice — it’s a real showstopper.

Ingredients

  • Raspberry sherbet ice cream
  • Ice cream scoop
  • Cherry 7 Up
  • Dry ice (handle with care)
  • Candy eyeballs
  • Punch bowl

Instructions

  • Materials: punch bowl, ice cream scoop, tongs or gloves for dry ice.
  • Pour Cherry 7 Up into the punch bowl.
  • Scoop raspberry sherbet into the bowl — about 8 scoops for a large bowl — to create a frothy, pink surface.
  • Carefully add dry ice to create the smoky, fog effect. Never handle dry ice with bare hands and keep it out of reach of small children. Use tongs or gloves and follow safety instructions.
  • Float candy eyeballs on top and add plastic spiders or other decorations around the bowl to fit the theme. Serve with a ladle and enjoy the spooky presentation.
