Each Weekly Menu Plan brings together delicious dinner recipes, thoughtful side dishes, and a couple of desserts to inspire your meal planning and help make weeknight cooking easier—one recipe at a time.

Today is my son Josh’s 30th birthday. It’s hard to believe—he was my first-born and still somehow my baby. Birthdays are marked in different ways for everyone; mine at 30 was memorable because I wasn’t ready to leave my twenties. My husband even made a cake that read “Happy Thursday” to keep the focus off the milestone. For years afterward we would joke that I was “29 again,” and that playful denial became part of our family’s story. Times change, and while I’d gladly trade places with my younger self for a day, those memories are part of what makes family life so rich.
This week’s menu includes comforting slow-cooker meals, bright citrus desserts, and easy dinners that work well for busy evenings. I’ve chosen recipes that are straightforward to prepare, family-friendly, and built around ingredients you can find at most grocery stores. If you try any of these recipes, I’d love to hear how they turned out. Tag me on Instagram (@jodi_lud_5boysbaker) when you make something—I enjoy seeing your photos and tweaks.
Below you’ll find the plan for the week with main dishes and desserts. Several recipes are prepared in a slow cooker for hands-off convenience, while others make for quick stovetop or grill options. The goal is to simplify dinner without sacrificing flavor—meals that bring people together and make evenings enjoyable.
Have a wonderful weekend, and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or feedback about any recipe.

Teriyaki Pasta Salad is a lighter, make-ahead choice that pairs well with grilled chicken for added protein. Creamy Tacos bring family-favorite flavors to the table with simple preparation, while Ham Fried Rice is a smart way to use leftovers for a quick weeknight meal. Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas are perfect for a fun, casual dinner that kids and adults both enjoy.
For dessert, Raspberry Chocolate Parfaits offer a fresh, fruity finish, and Lemon Brownies serve up bright citrus flavor for anyone who loves lemon. These treats are easy to prepare and make a sweet ending to any meal. Whether you follow the plan exactly or mix and match recipes to suit your schedule, this selection aims to remove mealtime stress and keep dinner flavorful and fun.
